Haver & Boecker signs R&D agreement

World Cement,

R&D agreement

Haver & Boecker has signed a joint research with the affiliated institute of the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (WGS Scientific Association of South Westphalia). The agreement was signed in mid-April at the Institute for Innovation in Oelde.

The University has been successfully cooperating on extra-occupational and educational courses with Haver & Boecker for the last five years. This new agreement extends to joint research and development projects, which Haver & Boecker can translate into new products for the markets of tomorrow.

Measurement and control technology

The first project will look at measurement and control technology for packing machines and will last for two years. Students at the university will have the opportunity to get involved with the research and will thus benefit from practical experience under the guidance of a scientific worker.

An investment in the future

This year, Haver & Boecker will celebrate 125 years since its foundation. The company sees this collaboration with the University as an important investment in its future, since it must be prepared to cater for increasingly complex customer requirements in an environment where production efficiency is key.
