World Cement,
Gebr. Pfeiffer SE has received orders for the first three MVR mills for Turkey as part of the modernisation of the Çimsa Çement works in Eskisehir and Nigde.
The two mills will be set up at the Eskisehir works in the production line for manufacturing white cement and grey cement.
The raw mill of the type MVR 3750 R-3 with a drive power of 2000 kW can be used flexibly in grinding 120 tph of white cement raw material to a product fineness of 4% R 0.090 mm or 200 tph of grey cement raw material to a product fineness of 12% R 0.090 mm.
The cement mill of the type MVR 5000 C-4 with a drive power of 4000 kW will be capable of producing 160 tph of Portland cement with a specific surface of 3500 cm²/g or 100 tph of white cement with a specific surface of 4800 cm²/g acc. to Blaine.
The modernisation of the cement works in Nigde will also see a raw mill of the type MVR 3750 R-3 installed that will be largely identical to the raw mill at Eskisehir works. This mill is guaranteed to attain 200 tph at a product fineness of 12% R 0.090 mm.
The possibility of being able to quickly swing out the grinding rollers out of the mill – by using the installed hydraulic system without having to fit an additional hydraulic cylinder – played a key role in the customer’s decision to invest in MVR mills from Gebr. Pfeiffer SE. This concept ensures the shortest possible downtimes when the wear parts of the grinding rollers and grinding plate are replaced. Added to this is the fact that no additional silo capacities are required to bridge the downtime for changing the wear parts.
The MVR mill was developed to achieve high and highest capacities in the grinding of cement raw material and cement. For special applications or on special request of our customers the mill is also used for medium throughput rates.
