Concrete roadshows in Glasgow and Leeds

The Concrete Centre Roadshows provide best practice guidance for the design and construction of concrete and masonry. The full-day events are delivered in partnership with product and project specialists.
The Concrete Centre along with Modern Masonry Alliance, CONSTRUCT, Post-Tensioning Association, Precast Flooring Federation, BRMCA, CPSA and UK CARES will be delivering two best practice roadshow events in the autumn of 2015. The full-day event provides 4 hours CPD and will be taking place at Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel, Glasgow, 8 October and Crown Plaza Leeds, 3 November.
Andrew Minson, executive director for The Concrete Centre and British Precast will open the day and will be followed by presentations that will feature case studies and exemplars, as well as technical guidance providing an in-depth look into the use and capabilities of concrete. Some of the topics are:
- Special Concrete: Key considerations for achieving good-looking concrete
- Delivering Sustainability through Materials & Design including the role of BIM and EPDs
- Latest Guidance on Quality Assurance of Reinforcement
- Minimalising Thermal Bridging using Masonry
These events are free to attend, although registration is required prior to the event.
