Unitherm Cemcon appoints new General Manager

Unitherm Cemcon has announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Pachler as General Manager. Robert Pachler succeeded Alexander Lederer and assumed responsibilities in January 2022. Mr. Lederer has entered his new position as General Manager at Unitherm Holding, taking care of strategic decisions.
Prior to joining Unitherm Cemcon, Robert Pachler was leading the operation coordination in the biggest waste to energy plant in Austria operated by Wien Energie GmbH.
Before that, Mr. Pachler worked as a Process and Production Manager for two rotary kiln lines in the same plant, where he managed to achieved a major step towards energy efficiency and decarbonisation of the two kilns.
Prior to that, he spent five years working as a Scientific Project Manager for the Vienna University of Technology in the automotive and energy sector together with AVL List GmbH, Audi Engine Development Center Györ as well as BMW Diesel Engine Department Steyr in the field of combustion modelling, exhaust gas aftertreatment simulation and carbon capture and storage/utilisation.
Mr. Pachler will guide the organisation in its mission to strengthen the position as a technology leader in the field of firing systems for the cement, lime and mineral industry with an emphasis on decarbonisation, model-based development and digitalisation.
