Dr Bernd Schiefele appointed for further 5 years

HeidelbergCement has decided to amend the structure of the Managing Board with the addition of a Deputy Chairman. Dr Dominik von Achten will assume this position, effective 1 February 2015. Dr von Achten is currently in charge of the North America Group area, Group Purchasing and the Competence Center Materials. The Board has also decided to extend the agreement with Chairman of the Board Dr Bernd Scheifele for a further five years, also effective 1 February.

Fritz-Jürgen Heckmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement, explained: “HeidelbergCement is very glad that both Dr Schiefele and Dr von Achten, together with the management and employees of the company, will continue their successful work of the past years. This step will guarantee continuity in the years to come as well as a trusting and constructive cooperation between Supervisory Board and Managing Board.”
