World Cement,
Following two years of admixtures development, Cemex has launched a new permeable, self-smoothing, levelling screed: Supaflo-C. Based on CEM I cement, the new product was unveiled at the UK Civils Expo on 8 October.
Supaflow-C is ideal for internal floors, such as in houses and schools, as well as for light commercial usage. The first contract of eight m2 was used by contractor Co-Dunkall to cover the ground floor under-floor heating in a new build house at Caston in Norfolk. It gave the same plastic properties and ease of installation as an Anhydrite flowing screed.
“Significant development work, in terms of laboratory and site trials, has gone into the design and production of Supaflo-C. This product can offer the contractor significant benefits – it’s easy to lay, dries quickly, has an excellent finish and can be used in areas susceptible to water ingress such as bathrooms and changing rooms,” comments Steve Crompton, Technical Director CEMEX UK.
Supaflow-C is available across the netword of Cemex UK Readymix plants.
