UTE ORURO, the Spanish consortium, has awarded Claudius Peters Projects a contract for the delivery of a new packaging and palletising plant for a new cement plant in Oruto, Bolivia.
Together with ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions , UTE ORURO, which consists of Sacyr Industrial and Imasa Ingenieria y Protectos S.A, received a common order to erect a new cement plant in the Bolivian highlands. The final customer, Empresa Publica Productiva Cementos de Bolivia, is a state-run cement producer who has planned a clinker capacity of 3000 tpd for his new plant.
The Claudius Peters scope of supply comprises the following equipment:
- The packing plant with a 12 spout rotary packer, an automatic bag applicator, material supply, bag handling and transport.
- The palletiser for 3600 bags per hour with a palletless slip sheet system and two package removal units.
- The big bag filling station for one loop big bags with a weight of 500 kg up to 2000 kg per big bag.
- A control system made by Rockwell will be used.
The project is particularly challenging due to the altitude of the plant, which is 4000 m AMSL. This requires special motors and special electrical switching and control elements, which are suitable for this altitude.
The delivery is scheduled for 2017.
