KHD to deliver COMFLEX grinding system

OYAK Aslan Cimento Sanayii T.A.S. has awarded KHD Humboldt Wedag a contract for the engineering and delivery of the mechanical and electrical equipment, along with all advisory supervision, to upgrade its cement grinding line. This will be the 7th KHD roller press owned by OYAK and will be installed at its plant in Darica-Kocaeli, Turkey.

The contract, which is to install a new COMFLEX SC20-3250 grinding system, will increase the capacity of cement grinding unit one by over 100%, as well as saving about 20% energy. This will allow Aslan Cimento to maintain their position as one of the most significant countries in the Marmara region. This will be KHD’s 4th COMFLEX grinding unit and 15th roller press system with V-Separator in Turkey.

The core equipment to be designed and delivered by KHD includes:

• Clinker Grinding System / COMFLEX® SC20-3250 
• Roller Press RPZ 20-170/180 with ROLCOX® system for control and monitoring.
• Cascade separator, type VS 620 as static classifier. 
• High efficiency separator SEPMASTER, type SKS-VC 3250 as dynamic classifier. 
• System fan HKF 190/280.

The new COMFLEX system will be integrated with the existing ball mill system, although Aslan Cimento specifically chose KHD’s COMFLEX for this project due to its ability to also produce finished product without a ball mill unit.

The commissioning of the new COMFLEX system is planned for 2016.
