BEUMER opens office in Scandinavia
BEUMER, one of the world's largest logistics providers, is setting up an office in Scandinavia. “Scandinavia is of course a major industrial region and as such it makes sense that we should have a market presence there. The new office will allow us to service our Scandinavian customers even better, as well as support our expansion throughout the region. We achieve the best and most effective logistics solutions in partnership with our customers – and geographical proximity means this partnership operates under the best conditions,” says BEUMER's manager for Scandinavia, Torben Lund.
Conveying, packaging, sorting and distribution
For more than 75 years, BEUMER has been supplying conveying solutions to some of the most demanding industry sectors. It all started with the cement industry, where the material is subject to a high degree of wear, requiring high capacity levels as well as extremely reliable solutions. Eventually the business developed into a market leader, becoming one of the largest in the world within its field. Today the company is active in all sectors, with specialised technology for conveying and loading, palletisation systems and pallet conveying systems, packaging and fully automatic systems for sorting and distribution.
Global network ensures local contact
Beumer benefits from a global sales and service network with subsidiaries and associated businesses on all continents, as well as sales representatives in more than 70 countries. It has already been a few years since the BEUMER Group took over its former Aarhus, Denmark-based competitor, Crisplant. Crisplant specialises in automated and efficient sorting technologies for modern logistics systems relating to baggage and materials handling. Crisplant continues to be an independent brand and was incorporated into the BEUMER Group as part of a farsighted strategy to develop the latter on a global scale.
