Cauldon cement plant celebrates six years without emission breaches

World Cement,

Lafarge Tarmac’s Cauldon cement plant has achieved six years without any reportable breaches of gas emissions, and four years without any measured breaches across all of its plant operations.

“Our emissions are constantly recorded and closely monitored by ourselves and the Environment Agency,” explained Josh Bryan, Environmental Coordinator for the Cauldon cement plant. “This is a great achievement and it is testament to the efforts of our team to ensure our kiln remains compliant. We are also very proud to be able to report four years without any measured breaches anywhere in our plant, which demonstrates our clear commitment to good environmental practices throughout the business.”

The 1 million tpy cement plant, which is located in Staffordshire, England, recently completed an investment in its kiln. Forming part of the plant’s annual maintenance programme, this is designed to ensure continued efficiency and environmental performance.
