Further cooperation between N+P and Dyckerhoff announced
N+P has expanded its cooperation with Dyckerhoff, to whom it delivers high quality Subcoal® pellets.
Subcoal® serves as a replacement for lignite dust or bituminous coal used by cement and lime kilns, as well as power stations. Around 100 000 tpy of non-recyclable paper-plastic waste fractions are processed at the Netherlands-based Qlyte facility in order to produce approximately 65 000 tpy of Subcoal® pellets. This prevents the waste fractions from ending up as landfill.
Dyckerhoff first began using Subcoal® two years ago. Since then, N+P and the building materials producer have been working together to improve the alternative fuel for optimum kiln use. Through this cooperation, a new Subcoal® has been developed that is used by Dyckerhoff at its Lengerich site. Dyckerhoff’s kiln in Geseke will continue to use the standard Subcoal® quality.
