The Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development has recognised CEMEX Croatia as a responsible employer. It is the seventh time that the company has received the accolade.
The company was awarded the CSR Index Award for its responsible policies and practices in the work environment. The CSR Index ranks the voluntary efforts of Croatian companies against globally-recognised practices. In addition to the work environment, practices related to economic sustainability, CSR, environmental protection, market relations, and community relations are all evaluated.
“CEMEX in Croatia was recognised for its responsible employment practices, good working conditions guaranteed by collective agreements, employee development, open and cooperative work environment, and positive health and safety practices,” the company said in a press release.
The company has received several CSR Index awards in previous years in the Large Companies and Responsible Relations with the Community categories.
