The company’s new business partner is Swecem AB, part of the Peab corporate group. Swecem AB operates in the field of cementitious materials for concrete production, and intends to produce its own environmentally friendly cement.
The contract comprises the complete process equipment, electrical equipment and automation system, as well as the complete building on EPC basis.
The throughput of the Gebr. Pfeiffer mill type MVR 2500 C-4 with its four equal-sized grinding rollers and a table diameter of 2.5 m, amounts to 25 t/h slag powder (dry-base). The mill is driven by an electric motor with 750 kW.
The start of operation is planned for the spring of 2020.
“The success of having sold numerous MVR mills for cement and slag grinding, and the experience gained in the field of medium-scale cement and slag grinding vertical roller mills, were decisive reasons for Swecem AB to select Gebr. Pfeiffer’s vertical roller mill. This order once again demonstrates Gebr. Pfeiffer’s capabilities and competences of delivering full scope systems. Furthermore, Gebr. Pfeiffer’s core competence in grinding technology and corresponding services are constantly being improved and further developed. In this instance, Gebr. Pfeiffer offers a service agreement, starting from mechanical inspection via process optimisation, up to replacement of main wear parts.” said Ludwig Zetterström, CEO of Swecem AB.
