BSRIA appoints new technical director

BSRIA has announced the appointment of Lynne Ceeney as the Technical Director of BSRIA, effective 24 October 2016 in a newly-created role.

Ms. With an extensive career in the construction and built environment sector, with particular interest in sustainability, Ms Ceeney is recognised as a national sustainability expert and technical consultant in the sustainable built environment and corporate sustainability arenas and has experience at UK Board and global management levels.

She joins BSRIA from Lytton Consulting Ltd., where she is Managing Director. She has previously held roles with WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, most recently as their Global Head of Sustainability, as well as senior roles at the Strategic Rail Authority, the Energy Savings Trust and a number of local and regional authority appointments.

Julia Evans, Chief Executive, BSRIA, said: “Lynne brings with her a wealth of experience. We see the appointment of Lynne as an essential step in our continued development for the strategic direction BSRIA is taking, moving into 2017.

With Lynne’s specific, extensive sustainability background, she can bring to the table key industry intelligence and foresight which highlight’s BSRIA’s commitment to ‘UK plc’ and sustainable building construction.”
