Katavsky Cement aims to reduce emissions with new ESP

Published by , Editor
World Cement,

Eurocement’s Katavsky Cement has installed a new ESP from Czech company ZVVZ Enven. The electrostatic precipitator will reduce emissions by 33%.

The existing equipment could not offer any further improvement in emissions levels, which is an important factor in Eurocement’s operations. A program of investment was launched in 2010 to reduce the plant’s environmental impact, beginning with the installation of an ESP on kiln no. 1, which resulted in a 24% reduction in emissions. This latest ESP is on kiln no. 4.
