Inspired by the consistent interest of general contractors across the country, cement technology innovator Sublime Systems is establishing a Distribution Channel Partner programme that engages general contractors (GCs) in responding to customer demand for this cutting-edge building material. The firms participating in this programme thus far represent over US$59.5 billion in annual revenues, and include firms such as (Turner Construction Company, STO Building Group, DPR Construction, SuKolk Construction, Holder Construction, Consigli Construction, Samet Corporation, DOC, Methuen Construction, and more).

As Sublime Distribution Channel Partners, these firms recognise the demand for made in- America cement that lowers CO2 while unburdening energy use, and they are organising to make it easier to get it to market. They will establish “Sublime Deployment Ready” teams to shape pathways, such as novel procurement structures, that swiftly move Sublime Cement(R) from specification to construction. Sublime Systems recently secured a long-term purchase for clean cement with Microsoft, and its Distribution Channel Partner programme helps ensure the construction industry can translate customer demand into successful completed projects at scale.

“The best businesses listen and respond to the demands of their customers, and that’s exactly what these GCs are doing,” said Sublime CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Leah Ellis. “Americans want next-generation made-in-America cement that is clean, energy eKicient, durable, and beautiful. They want that without compromising performance, or without complexity on the jobsite. That’s the solution Sublime brings, and that’s what these GCs are mobilizing to enable for their clients”

Scaling cement innovations from the lab to widespread use in the built environment requires thoughtful engagement of a complex, interconnected value chain. Sublime Distribution Channel Partnerships leverages the unique role of the GC in managing a range of disciplines and building consensus on the jobsite. These Sublime Distribution Channel Partners – whose collective US operations cover every major region in the US – serving as a powerful, definitive source of demand for next-generation, clean Sublime Cement as an essential material for their pipeline of construction projects and for attracting new customers motivated to decarbonise and adopt innovative, made-in-America materials into their construction projects.

Sublime Systems is advancing a breakthrough electrochemical process that replaces cement’s legacy high-heat, ineKicient kilns and limestone feedstock with a process that is more efficient – unleashing more energy for American consumers. Sublime’s process produces low-carbon Sublime Cement that meets ASTM C1157, the fully performance based specification for hydraulic cement that enables the material to be specified under existing US building codes. The material is more durable than legacy ordinary portland cement (OPC) and can exhibit premium qualities such as lighter colour, desirable for aesthetics and reduction of urban heat island eKect. Sublime is backed by global cement leaders Holcim, CRH, Amrize, and Siam Cement Group and has been deploying Sublime Cement since 2023. The firms remarked:

“Turner was the first general contractor to implement Sublime Cement® in commercial construction applications,” said Kent Kunkel, Vice President & General Manager of Turner Construction. “We secured buy-in from our clients and trade partners through careful coordination and collaboration. Advancing the use of innovative and lower-carbon materials is directly aligned with Turner’s and our customers’ goals to reduce embodied carbon and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable built environment.”

“At STO Building Group, we know that transforming the built environment requires innovation and collaboration,” said Jennifer Taranto, Vice President of Sustainability, STO Building Group. “We’re engaging with Sublime Systems because their technology addresses one of the most urgent decarbonisation challenges in our industry – concrete. By supporting the advancement of zero-carbon concrete, we aim to help accelerate the adoption of low-impact materials, align with our clients’ climate goals, and continue our commitment to building more sustainably.” “For DPR Construction, this isn’t just about testing a new material – it’s about unlocking a new way to build. With the high volume of concrete used in advanced tech and manufacturing projects, evaluating low-carbon solutions like Sublime Cement is critical,” said John Vardaman, Advanced Technology Core Market Leader at DPR Construction. “Through our self-perform teams, we’re exploring its potential to meet performance demands and drive real, scalable change. This is exactly the kind of innovation that can move the needle for the built environment.”
