On 29 December, Ulyanovskcement celebrated its 55th anniversary, having been in operation since 1961.
In its 55 year history, the company has produced and shipped over 90 million t of cement. Its products have a good reputation in the construction industry in Ulyanovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, the Penza regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Mordovia.
Throughout its history, the plant has had ups and downs, but has always pushed to develop good work habits and enhance experience. In 1975, for example, production was modernised and the plant was awarded a badge of honour and recognition from the CPSU for its increase in efficiency.
On 25 April 2015, Ulyanovskcement celebrated its tenth anniversary as part of the Eurocement group. During this time over 2 billion rubles has been invested into the development of the plant, with one of the most significant projects being the transition to a new source of raw materials: the chalk quarry Shirokovskaya II.
