Knauf order new machine from AUMUND

World Cement,
Six years after its first Samson Material Feeder was commissioned at its UK plant in Immingham, Knauf has placed an order to AUMUND Fordertechnik for a second machine.
The 100 tph Samson Material Feeder will be supplied in October 2017 and has a centre distance of 11.7 m. Knauf is extending its existing raw materials reception area, where products arriving by truck are transferred directly to an ongoing conveyor to the production facility using the Samson Feeder.
The wide conveyor belt design enables a very low loafing height, allowing trucks to discharge directly into the entry section of the unit. This means that the bulk material can be unloaded and transferred to the plant straight away, with no interim storage requirement upon arrival. If continuous discharge to an ongoing conveyor is not required at any given time, the bulk material can also be stored in the Samson unit.
