Tarmac has been showcasing its range of career opportunities, new products and community engagement activities at the Royal Norfolk Show.

Visitor’s to Tarmac’s stand were able to find out more about the company’s work and operations in Norfolk, as well as watch demonstrations of a wide range of products, including coloured asphalt.

There was also the opportunity to sit in the driver’s cab of one of Tarmac’s HGVs and find out more about how vulnerable road users and cyclists can stay safe around construction vehicles.

Alistair McBeath, Tarmac’s service director for Norfolk, said: “Being an active part of the communities where we work is very important to us. Attending the Royal Norfolk Show provides a great opportunity to speak to local people, not only about our work and activities to support the County but also about the range of exciting career opportunities available within Tarmac.”

The Tarmac team also showcased the company’s ’Make Your Mark’ recruitment campaign which aims to inspire people to take up careers in the construction industry and contribute to projects which are critical to the UK’s future success.

The company is currently recruiting seven apprentices in Norfolk as part of a commitment to employing up to 120 new graduates and apprentices at sites across the UK every year.
