MTG to expand its wear part plant in Huesca
Spain’s MTG has announced that it will invest in the expansion of its plant in Monzón, Huesca, creating approximately 80 new jobs in the next two years. The foundry is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the production of wear parts for mining and construction earth moving machinery. It currently has a production capacity of 5000 tpa. The investment will be distributed between 2014 and 2016 and will go towards new infrastructure and machinery to increase the production capacity up to 14 000 tpa. The expansion will consolidate the company’s strategic business plan and help it to continue to serve the construction and mining global markets. Around 98% of the company’s sales are exports to countries such as Sweden, Indonesia, Australia and Canada.
