World Cement,

CICSA Group have announced that, continuing on the challenging growth path which it has followed for years, it has completed a strategic investment by finalising the acquisition of "CADERSA, Cadenas y Derivados S.L." of Barcelona, a leader in the production of mechanical chains for bulk materials handling applications.

In its almost 50 years of activity, CADERSA has proved to hold a strong focus on high-quality production, with particular attention to the markets of the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa, and Central and South America.

CICSA are very happy that the CADERSA team, with whom they have always maintained excellent relationships, has become part of the Group. Together, by combining their respective skills and specificities, CICSA can continue on the path of internationalisation and growth that has led to the expansion of their leadership in some highly qualified industries so far, such as Power Generation, Biomass Treatment, Mining, and production of Cement, Aggregates, and Inert Materials.

Through this operation, CICSA leverage clear synergies and great product complementarity, while accessing new markets and new industries, completing the production range of chain solutions for bulk materials handling applications, with deep and transversal expertise ranging from round steel link chains to pin and bush chains.
