KORFEZ ENG. announces new orders in Turkey and South Africa

Turkey

KORFEZ ENG. has received a follow-up order from Turkey for a first compartment mill shell lining for a two-compartment cement mill with a diameter of 4.20 m. A lifting lining with a total compartment length of approximately 4.80 m made of durable cast steel with a chromium content of 12% has been designed in the technical sales office in Germany. Delivery is scheduled for beginning of 2015.

In August 2014, the installation of KORFEZ ENG.’s second compartment mill shell lining was successfully concluded. A combination of lifting and classifying liners made of extremely durable cast steel with 27% chromium content was delivered to protect the mill tube from wear, and to ensure a well-balanced material flow throughout the complete grinding chamber. The staff found all start-up tests were successful.

South Africa

In November 2014, KORFEZ ENG. was chosen as a partner to perform a mill conversion project. In close collaboration with the customer, an optimised solution to replace the currently installed clamped mill shell lining was determined. The reason for choosing a bolted wave lining system for the existing slag mill with a diameter of 3.80 m was, on the one hand, because of the fine grinding media composition with very small grinding balls. On the other hand they make storage easier by having many equal parts. Another advantage is that it is considerably easier to perform the assembly and installation as well as the maintenance of these wave liner plates. Delivery is planned for January 2015.
