European antitrust proceedings close

On 8 December 2010, the European Commission initiated proceedings against Cemex and other companies regarding anticompetitive practices in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
European Commission ending proceedings concerning anti-competitive practices
Cemex has recently announced that these proceedings have now been closed and Cemex is not subject to any fines or penalties as a result. The company cooperated with the European Commission throughout the process and, in general, is taking all of the required steps in order to continue to operate according to laws and regulations of the countries in which it does business.
