Sika expands Rosendahl site

Sika has announced the opening of a new technology centre that focuses on the further and new development of mortar products in Rosendahl, Germany. Following a construction period of 14 months, it was inaugurated in an official ceremony.
The expansion of the Rosendahl site follows the acquisition of Schonox at the end of 2013. Wiith investments totalling about CHF6.5 million, the newly opened technology centre covers almost 3000 m2. It will have group-wide responsibility for the development of mortar based installation products.
Additionally, a new local centre of excellence for speciality mortars has been established, and will focus on grouts and concrete repair mortars.
The expanded site also contains an industrial building for applications engineering and seminar rooms for customer product and application training. About 30 staff will work in the new technology centre.
