Cemex to distribute its products via Cementi Siciliani
Cemex has established Cementi Siciliani for the distribution of its products on the Italian market. Cementi Siciliani comprises a 4000 t cement storage and distribution facility at the Sicilian Port of Augusta in Catania. To begin with, the new company will sell cement produced by Cemex’s Spanish operations, before gradually introducing a greater range of Cemex construction materials and solutions. The proximity between Cemex’s Spanish cement plants and Cementi Siciliani will ensure a constant supply of materials for new customers in the region. According to Juan Luis Alonso, Director of Cemento Siciliani, the new business has been developed in response to the potential for growth in Sicily.
