Maltsovsky Portland to build onsite power plant

Published by , Editor
World Cement,

Eurocement Group company Maltsovsky Portland has signed a contract with the government of the Bryansk region to cooperate on the implementation of a small power station project. Maltovsky Portland will build a 29 MW gas-fired power plant on site, which will later be upped to 48.65 MW. The investment will cost 2 billion rubles.

The agreement was signed during the IV Slavonic International Economic Forum by the Acting Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomazov and Deputy General Director, Technical Director of JSC "Maltsovsky Portland" Sergey Bychkov. The forum resulted in more than 40 billion rubles in contracts being signed.

Last week we reported that work is progressing on a 26.19 MW power plant onsite at Nevyanskiy Cement, another Eurocement plant. Eurocement plans to increase its power generation capacity to increase energy efficiency.
