Pikalevsky Cement

Pikalevsky cement shipped its customers 285 700 t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement in 1Q14, a 4.9% y/y increase compared to 1Q13. Shipments of bagged cement totalled 13 273 t, a 45% y/y improvement from the same period a year earlier.

During January – March 2014, the company produced approximately 252 800 t of limestone, a 14.6% increase compared to the volume achieved in the corresponding period a year earlier.

Zhigulevskie Materials

Zhigulevskie Materials recorded a steady increase in the production and shipment of cement in March 2014. During the reporting period the company produced 43 500 t of clinker and 50 900 t of cement, up by 7% y/y and 10% y/y, respectively, compared to March 2013.

During the month, the company shipped its customers 48 900 t of cement, which exceeds the figure achieved in March 2013 by 7%. Zhigulevskie Materials produced 24 100 t of CEM I 42,5 N cement, 41.1% more than in March last year.

Mal’tovsky Portland

Mal'tsovsky Portland shipped 210 603 t of PC 500-D0-N cement in 1Q14, representing a 23.4% y/y improvement over the same period last year. Portland cement 500-D0-N differs from ordinary Portland cement due to its high frost resistance, resistance to abrasion and shock, corrosion resistance and high tensile and flexural strength. These properties make the product suitable for the production of concrete for roads and airfield pavements, concrete pressure and pressure pipes, bridge structures and concrete sleepers.

High-quality cement types CEM I 42.5 N and PC 500-D0-N account for around 70% of the total volume of products currently shipped by the company. Demand for these products has grown steadily in recent years.
