Cemex Latvia signs SRF supply agreement with N+P
N+P International BV has signed a cooperation agreement with Cemex Latvia for the supply of approximately 500 000 t of solid recovered fuel (SRF) over the next 10 years.
In fulfilling the contract, N+P will use port facilities in the UK. Grimsby is the principle port for SRF export, but N+P is also exporting alternative fuels and biomass fuels from Newport, Hull, Grangemouth and London by ship and via Dover and Felixstowe by road.
Cemex already utilises alternative fuels from N+P in its cement plants in other parts of Europe. The new contract will help to strengthen N+P’s presence in the UK alternative fuels and biomass export market.
