The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) expands its membership base

The new member companies to the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) are Cementos Progreso Sociedad An?nima, Guatemala, and Vassiliko Cement Works Public Company, Cyprus. Membership now totals 38 member companies and 18 affiliates.

The new member companies were endorsed by GCCA board at the recent global conference in Singapore and bring the company a step closer to its goal of representing at least 50% of global cement production capacity.

The association also confirmed three new affiliates, bringing the total number to 18 organisations. Affiliates are not formal members, but partner with the GCCA in order to achieve shared goals and specific objectives. The new affiliates are Australian Cement Concrete and Aggregates Australia (CCAA), Australia, the Cement Industry Federation, Australia and VDZ, Germany.

Benjamin Sporton, GCCA Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are delighted to welcome Cementos Progreso and Vassiliko Cement Works as members of the GCCA. The continued growth in our membership and affiliated national and regional cement and concrete associations, combined with our strong ongoing programme of work, clearly demonstrate our commitment to becoming the authoritative voice for the industry at the global level.”
