Kohat Cement expansion results in 80% production capacity increase

“Kohat Cement Company Limited has successfully commenced commercial operations from its Brownfield Expansion Project of 7 800 tpd Grey Cement Production Line (including WHR power plant) from 27 January 2020," the company informed Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The cement manufacturer added that after setting up the additional line, the total installed cement production capacity of the company has grown from 2 953 500 tpy to 5 293 500 tpy, showing a capacity increase of up to 80%.
At its North (KPK) plant, Lucky Cement has recently installed an additional line of 2.8 million tpy, which has increased the company’s total production capacity from 9.35 million t to 12.15 million tpy. This has resulted in Lucky Cement taking the place of Bestway Cement, as Pakistan's largest cement producer.
