World Cement,
According to a Reuters report, Siam Cement announced on 27 January that it posted a 29% increase in Q4 net profit as stronger earnings from its chemical unit outweighed weakness in cement and the building materials business.
Net profit reached 11.4 billion baht (US$318.52 million), surpassing an average forecast of 9.7 billion baht.
For 2015 in total, the company posted a 35% rise in net profit of 45.4 billion baht thanks to strong chemical earnings, while its sales fell 10% to 439.6 billion baht due to lower chemical prices.
