Loesche delivers VRM to GGBFS producer in China

Loesche has delivered a VRM to Hebei Jintaicheng Building Materials Shareholding Co. Ltd. Based in Shahe City, China, the company produces ground granulated blast furnace slag. It aims to produce 500 000 tpa of GGBFS. The provided VRM is of the type LM 4600CS2 with a 3150 kW drive. It will have an output capacity of 90 tph at 4500 Blaine. The contract was placed with Loesche Mills (Shanghai), Co. Ltd in December 2011 and the mill is now being installed.
China focuses on the environment
According to Caixin, the Environmental Minister Zhou Shengxian has stated that the country’s central government plans to invest 1.7 trillion yuan in countering air pollution. The plan, which aims to reduce PM2.5 levels, is set to be announced in Mid-August. Although no specific details have been released yet, it is said to involve controlling transport emissions, encouraging clean coal use as well as the use of other energy sources, in addition to focusing on the environmental impact of heavy industries, such as cement and steel.
