Sanghi Industries recognised for environmental performance
India’s Sanghi Industries Ltd was recognised for its environmental performance at the 22nd Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation (MEMC) Week 2014 – 2015.
MEMC week, which falls under the aegis of the Indian Bureau of Mines in Udaipur, celebrates the systematic and scientific development of minerals whilst ensuring environmental protection. The event brings together the cement, soda ash, refractory, bauxite, chalk, and clay sectors. Sanghi Industries Ltd won first prize for ‘Best Overall Performance’ in the cement category.
“The company has always been in the forefront of environmental protection through the implementation of scientific means. It is particular about its concern for controlling the generation and liberation of fugitive dust at various sources in the mines and cement plant. Time and again the company has proved its operational efficacy and the same has been recognised and honoured by institutions of repute and the state and national government,” said Aditya Sanghi, Director of Sanghi Industries Ltd.
