Two CNBM projects come on stream in Iraq and Indonesia

World Cement,

Indonesia

Indonesia Gama Ciwandan’s 750 000 tpa cement grinding station started up on 20 March 2014. The engineering design and core equipment was supplied by CNBM (Hefei) Powder Technology Equipment Co. Ltd. The project comprises a double-closed grinding system with an HFCG160-120 roller press, along with a 3.8 m dia. x 13 m tube mill. OPC and PCC cement will be produced at a minimum rate of 120 tph. Detailed planning, process design and foundation treatment were required due to the size of the project area, the poor geological conditions and need to reserve land for a phase 2 extension.

Iraq

At the end of March, the Iraq AD 3300 tpd line 2 came on stream and produced its first batch of cement. The new line at the plant, which is located some 300 km northwest of Basra, was constructed by CNBM International Engineering Co. Ltd (CNBM Engineering) under China National Building Materials Import & Export Corporation (CNBM International).
