SOLID Cement inks deal with CBMI Construction

CEMEX Holdings Philippines (CHP) subsidiary, SOLID Cement Corp., has agreed principal project agreements with CBMI Construction Co. Ltd for the procurement, construction, and installation of a new cement production line at the plant in Antipolo City. The new line will have production capacity of 1.5 million tpy.
Expected investment in the plant will total around US$235 million. On completion, the plant will represent a 26% increase in CHP’s cement capacity in the Southeast Asian country. The line is expected to come online by 4Q20.

Horton quarry rail link reopens after 60 years
The rail link at Heidelberg Materials Horton quarry in Yorkshire has been reinstated as part of their strategy to improve their network of rail connected quarries and depots.
