Indonesia's President has signed a ruling allowing the government to cap prices of cement during peak demand periods.

India’s ACC has been allowed to resume quarrying at its Bargarh plant following the renewal of the lease under the new Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act.

Due to troubles afflicting the company, bonds were hit in secondary trade as Standard & Poor's cut its ratings.

Speaking with Bloomberg, Aliko Dangote said that the new 2 million tpy plant has 90% of regulatory approvals in place.

Wonder Cement has told the Press Trust of India of plans to increase production capacity at its plant in Rajasthan to 10 million t within 5 years.
