FLSmidth wins order for Pyroprocessing system in India

World Cement,

FLSmidth has signed a contract with JK Lakshmi Cement (JKLC) in India for the supply of equipment for a 4500 tpd pyroprocessing system for its upcoming cement plant in Durg, Chhattisgarh in Central India.

The broad scope of supply includes CF silo, preheater, three support kilns, SF Cross Bar Cooler, various auxiliary equipment and associated electrics and instrumentation.

"The order from JKLC contributes positively to our increasingly strong position on the Indian market and it also supports our positive view on the opportunities for increased capacity for cement production in India in 2011 and forward," Group Executive Vice President Bjarne Moltke Hansen comments.

JKLC has cement plants located in Rajasthan, Western India. Previous orders given to FLSmidth from this client were for 2500 tpd and 2800 tpd lines in the mid-1990s. Along with the products supplied by FLSmidth for this new project, JKLC will set its footprint in the growing central/eastern market of India. The cement plant is expected to come on stream in 2012.
