Saudi Arabia’s Qassim Cement Company has signed a SAR 400 million (US$107 million) financing agreement with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) to support the construction of a new production line at its cement plant.
The financing, completed on 13 August 2026, has a nine-year term, including a two-year grace period followed by seven years of repayments.
The fourth production line is planned to have a capacity of 10 000 tpd and will replace certain existing production lines. The project is intended to improve energy efficiency and environmental performance.
Qassim Cement said it plans to combine the SIDF financing with Sharia-compliant credit facilities from commercial banks to meet its funding requirements and reduce financing costs.
The project was first announced by the company in August 2025.
