During the recent International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement, the Asia Cement and Concrete Research Academy was established, initiated by China Building Materials Academy.
Mr Cao Jianlin, China’s Vice Minister of Science and Technology, gave a speech pointing out the great importance of the technical innovation of traditional industries to the Ministry. He said that several hundred million yuan has been invested in research into cement and concrete over the last few decades. The MOST has built key laboratories at universities and research academies for the development of new technologies.
The Asia Cement and Concrete Research Academy welcomes scientists from all over the world. The Academy will serve to promote the exchanges and applications of advanced technologies in Asia and to contribute to the sustainable development of the cement and concrete industry.
