Burnpur Cement to inaugurate new plant in Jharkhand

Published by , Editor
World Cement,

India’s Burnpur Cement Ltd will open its new plant in Patratu, Jharkhand on 13 July. The plant will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. The 800 tpd plant is situated close to Patratu Thermal Power Station and within 10 – 15 km of limestone deposits. It will produce OPC, PPC and Portland Slag Cement (PSC).

Burnpur Cement currently has a 1000 tpd plant in Asansol, West Bengal, producing OPC. As an eastern Indian company, there are opportunities for export to neighbouring Bangladesh, which does not have a significant cement industry of its own.
