UltraTech Cement reportedly acquiring Jaypee’s Gujarat operations

According to local press, the High Courts of Bombay and Allahabad have approved plans for UltraTech Cement Ltd to acquire assets belonging to Jaypee Cement Corporation Ltd (JCCL) in Gujarat. This includes an integrated cement plant in Sewagrama and a grinding facility in Wanakbori. The scheme has reportedly already received approval from shareholders, creditors and the Securities and Exchange Board of Directors.
