Sika has announced the appointment of Yumi Kan as its new Head Building Systems & Industry, and Member of Group Management. This will be effective 1 July 2016. She will succeed Silvio Poti, who has chosen to retire at the end of 2016.
Yumi Kan joined Sika Vietnam in 1992 and, in her role as General Manager, built Sika Vietnam into one of the most successful companies in the Sika Group. In 2011 she was promoted to Area Manager, responsible for Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. Her vast market experience, and over twenty year record of successful leadership within Sika, she is the ideal person for the position.
Silvio Ponti has had an incredibly successful career within Sika spanning more than 30 years. He has been a Member of Group Management for the last 14 years and also Deputy CEO since 2005.
