Gebr. Pfeiffer SE wins kiln line supply order from Shree Cement Ltd
Gebr. Pfeiffer SE has been awarded a supply contract from India’s Shree Cement Ltd. The company will provide Shree Cement’s RAS plant in Rajasthan with an eighth kiln line, six months after Gebr. Pfeiffer SE received an order for production line no. 7 at the plant. The new order will comprise an MPS 5000 B vertical roller mill with a 3400 kW drive that can grind 420 tph of raw material to a fineness of 2% R 212 µm. The product will be classified in an SLS-B integrated high efficiency classifier, whilst exhaust gases from the cement rotary kiln will be used in the mill to dry the moisture in the feed material during the grinding process. An MPS 2800 BK coal mill will grind petcoke to a fineness of 1 – 2% R 90 µm. The mill has a 720 kW drive and an SLS-BK integrated high efficiency classifier.
The grinding plants and mills are designed to require low levels of external heat for drying the material. Shree Cement plans on recovering heat from the exhaust gases of the cement rotary kiln in order to increase energy efficiency. The process gases available for drying have a low temperature.
Gebr. Pfeiffer SE will provide the core components of the mills and gear units. Components for the mill and classifier housing, the foundation parts and internal parts of the classifier will be sourced by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd. In addition, it will be responsible for designing the grinding plant layout and advising the cement manufacturer on the equipment required.
