Taiwan Cement to build three plants in China
This year, Taiwan Cement Corp. is to begin construction of three cement plants in Sichuan and Guizhou provinces, China.
The company’s vice president, C.C. Huang, said that the new investments would include the construction of a second stage production line in Prosperity cement plant in Chongqing, Sichuan province. Construction of two other plants in Guangan (Sichuan province) and Anshun (Tsizhou province) will be completed in mid-2011, raising capacity to 4 million tpa.
With the expansion in China, Taiwan Cement’s production capacity in the country will reach 60 million t this year.
