Reliance Cement Company Private Ltd (RCC) has announced its entry into Uttar Pradesh, thereby expanding its footprint in the domestic market.
Arvind Pathak, CEO of Reliance Cement, commented on the developments: “Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest cement consuming states in the country, with a total consumption of around 26 million tpa. With the ever increasing industrial activities, real estate, construction and infrastructure, in addition to the onset of various special economic zones (SEZs) being developed in Uttar Pradesh, the market is expected to grow at a rate of 6% over the next few years. Reliance Cement is well positioned and equipped to fulfill the gap in demand and supply."
The company is also planning to launch its innovative customer initiative “Onsite Expert Service” in Uttar Pradesh. The initiative will provide an array of services, ranging from expert engineer advice to onsite concrete testing services, which will assist people in building their homes. Reliance Cement makes use of new age technology and unique features that allow consumers to build long lasting structures in the quickest possible construction time. The state-of-the-art ultramodern packaging also ensures zero loss to end consumers. The product is recommended as an alternative to ordinary Portland cement (OPC) 43 and (OPC) 53 grades.
Reliance Cement is one of the country’s leading integrated cement producers, with a total capacity of 5.5 million tpa. Its 2 million tpa plant in Uttar Pradesh, 3 million tpa facility in Madhya Pradesh and 0.5 million tpa plant in Butibori Maharashtra are now operational. Following its entry into Uttar Pradesh, the company has plans to expand its presence in the central, eastern and other northern markets of India.
