Kjellberg, specialist in thermal cutting, joining and processing, has announced the launch of a new subsidiary in India, effective 1 April 2015. Kjellberg Cutting and Welding India Pvt. Ltd is located in Pune, Maharashtra, and will take care of all activities concerning sales and service with local customers. Already active in India for several years, the Managing Directors Carsten Trentau and Falk Tzschichholz aim to further improve customer relations in this important market.

Pune is home to an active automotive engineering industry, which offers great potential for Kjellberg’s portfolio of cutting equipment. The new plasma cutting series Smart Focus is ideally suited for the Indian market and has been received positively since the sales launch in February. The three compact plasma cutting units are user-friendly and easy to service and achieve best cutting results in the range of 1 to 80 mm with a convincing price performance ratio. Users benefit from the patented Contour Cut technology for the fast and precise cutting of mild steel.
