Steppe Cement’s sales revenue increases in 1Q13
According to Stock Market Wire, Steppe cement has released its results for 1Q13. The Kazakhstani cement producer saw cement sales volumes drop by 2% from 170 080 t in 1Q12 to 166 121 t in 1Q13. However, sales revenue increased by 16% from KZT1.953 billion to KZT2.272 billion. Steppe Cement’s market share came in at 15% in 1Q13 down from 18% in the corresponding period in 2012. Cement consumption in the country grew by 17% y/y in 1Q13, with total consumption for 2013 expected to rise to 7.7 million t.
