Aumund India signs €5 million contract with Wonder Cement

Aumund India has signed a major contract with Wonder Cement to provide materials handling equipment for the company’s second production line in Nimbahera, Rajasthan.

Aumund worked with Wonder Cement on line 1 at the plant and was invited to tender for the installation of line 2. Within five days, Aumund had submitted its proposal and within a very short time a contract was signed in June 2014 between Raju Gupta, Managing Director of Aumund India, and Ibrahim Ali, Director of Wonder Cement. The €5 million contract stipulates that Aumund will supply all machines needed for the construction of a second production line, which will bring the plant’s capacity from 3.25 million tpa to 7 million tpa.

The scope of supply is as follows:

  • 6 x chain bucket elevators.
  • 6 x belt bucket elevators.
  • 7 x deep pan conveyors.
  • 13 x silo discharge gates.

The chain bucket elevators include four double bucket elevators with two designed for a capacity of 1775 tph. In the belt bucket elevator supply, the preheater feed elevators have a centre-to-centre distance of 150 m handling a capacity of 800 tph. A reversible deep pan conveyor measuring 162.3 m long is also part of the supply. The contract also includes future supply and maintenance services.

Wonder Cement is part of the RK Marble group, which is one of the leading names in the marble industry. The entire design of the plant is based on the latest environment norms keeping emissions clearly below maximum permissible values.
