MPC holds cement seminar in Pune
On 11 – 13 October 2012, Madurai Productivity Council held a seminar in Pune, India, as part of its initiative to run seminars throughout the country’s various states. The seminar, which took ‘Cement Industry: Lean and Greenway’ as its focus, attracted around 60 attendees from the cement industry, including plant managers, corporate leaders and consultants.
A range of companies, such as IKN Pvt. Ltd, Orient Cement, J.K. Cement India and Madras Cement, delivered presentations over the course of the event. Loesche presented two papers at the seminar: ‘Generating high specific surface areas on Loesche mills’ by Rohan Sharma and ‘Clinker grinding without water spray and hot gas in Loesche VRM – a case study at ACC Ltd’ by Vishal Aggarwal, which won the ‘Best Presentation Award’. In addition, participants had the opportunity to visit M/s Polysius India’s manufacturing site.
