Bestway Cement signs a MoU with NUST Institute of Civil Engineering for research and development on new cement solutions for construction and building materials in Pakistan.
Irfan Sheikh, Director of Finance and CFO of Bestway Cement & Pakcem Ltd, and Asif Shah, Director Administration and Marketing, were both present at the signing. Sheikh commented: “We aim to develop products through collaborative R&D that will add value for our customers. Innovation defines our focus on our customers’ needs, provide solutions for improving quality of life and generate much needed economic activity in the country, while ensuring that our environment is safeguarded.”
Bestway has indicated it is committed to developing the cement industry in Pakistan. Last month, the company commissioned two 13.5 MW waste heat recovery power plants at its operations in Hattar and Faroogia, helping Pakistan’s power situation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
